As a writer of science and pharmaceutical thrillers, I craft narratives that blur the line between fiction and reality—stories inspired by real-world scientific breakthroughs, controversies, and ethical dilemmas.
By embedding real scientific principles within the twists and turns of my plots, I strive to make my readers feel the tension of high-stakes research, the ethical tightropes walked in pharmaceutical labs, and the ripple effects of breakthroughs that change lives—for better or worse.
But my ultimate goal? To make readers walk away entertained and a little more informed—without even realizing they’ve learned something. I believe the best kind of learning is the one that sneaks up on you, disguised as an adrenaline rush. That’s the experience I aim to create: an immersive fiction that keeps readers on the edge of their seats while quietly expanding their understanding of the science.

GK Daffu holds a PhD in Molecular Biology & Genetics and has numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. She spent many years in academia as a Research Scientist before becoming a Medical Writer. She currently works as a Medical Strategist for a pharmaceutical advertising agency out of New York City where she specializes in oncology. She has completed courses in screenwriting (Rekindle School) and creative writing (Curtis Brown Creative). She has also completed ITW's 2024 Online Thriller School and ITW's 2025 BizFest (business of publishing). She spends her time between Seattle, New York City, and Spain.
