GK Daffu is a PhD-trained molecular biologist, with numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. She spent many years in academia as a Research Scientist before becoming a Medical Writer. She currently works as a Medical Strategist for a pharmaceutical advertising agency out of New York City where she specializes in oncology. She has completed courses in screenwriting (Rekindle School) and creative writing (Curtis Brown Creative). She has also completed ITW's 2024 Online Thriller School. She spends her time between Seattle, New York City, and Spain. CHECKPOINT is her first novel. She is currently working on the second novel in the series called ANTIDOTE.
